Katie as "Girl of the Year" for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society in 2010

In November of 2010, Katie was in 8th grade.  That's when she learned that her cancer had returned.  A year and a half earlier she had just emerged from a year of treatment that knocked out her AML (Acute Myeloid Leukemia).  It's back.  She will fight this cancer again, and she will win!

But the treatment is hard.  It's hard on Katie's body and mind, and it's hard for those whose lives are put on hold, and it's hard for those who love Katie and her family.

We ask you to check back here often, participate in our efforts to raise money for the family and for cancer research, and most of all, we ask you to pray for healing of all kinds and for peace in the chaos.
